The most rewarding aspect was witnessing the real-life impact

In conversation with mit SIBE Alumna Adaobi Azinge - Partner company during the study program: Siemens AG, Study program: German-US-Dual-Degree (M.Sc./MBA)

After completing her Bachelor's degree in International Management, Adaobi Azinge decided to pursue a job-integrated Master's degree at SIBE. As Financial Analyst and in cooperation with Siemens AG, she successfully completed the German-US-Dual-Degree (M.Sc./MBA) with distinction in September 2023. After graduation, she continues her journey as an Expert Financial Advisor at Siemens AG

First degree: International Management
Course: MScMBA21-203
Graduation year: 2023

Dear Ms. Azinge, you studied in the German-US-Dual-Degree (M.Sc./MBA) program at SIBE and were working on an exciting project. What exactly did you do?

During my job-integrated Master’s program, I worked on two major projects at my partner company, the Siemens AG. The first one was working on improving the working capital in my partner company, while the other (which was my master’s thesis) was on improving business processes and creating transparency through digitalization.

How did you get into Siemens AG?

I decided to start and build my career with Siemens AG because the company aligned not only with my career goals, but with my personal goals and values. I applied through their application portal, got invited for two interviews, and was offered a position after that.

What are the challenges of a job-integrated degree program?

I would say the most challenging part is the amount of work to be done. Having to work full-time, as well as fulfilling assignment obligations and attending seminars, is not easy. But the good news is that it is only for a short time, and it is over before you know it!

Looking back, what do you take away from the concept of the SIBE competency assessment?

The SIBE competency assessment is a good way for students to not only assess themselves, but to get to see how others in their personal and professional lives asses them. It was interesting to see the ways in which one’s view about themselves aligns or diverges from how others think about them.

What did you enjoy most about your project/work/study?

The most rewarding aspect was witnessing the real-life impact of my study projects at my partner company, the Siemens AG.
