From January30th to February1st 2020, St. Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) and the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library in St. Petersburg organized the4th National Conference on Science and Methods with international participation. Topic in focus of the three-day event was the “Architecture of Higher Education: Building a Common Knowledge Area”.
During the conference, the School of International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE) of Steinbeis University was represented by Prof. Dr. Stefanie Kisgen, Managing Director of SIBE and Professor of Leadership at Steinbeis University. During a plenary session in open discussion format, Prof. Dr. Kisgen gave a presentation on the discussion’s topic “Strategic Partnerships as a tool for creating a common knowledge area”.
This year’s conference was dedicated to various topics. For example, “Building a Common Knowledge Area”, “Active participation of all actors in the educational process of developing mechanisms for effective partnerships”, “Use of digital technologies” and “Consolidation of the role of universities in implementing national educational objectives”. These topics were addressed through panel discussions, practice-oriented workshops and exhibitions. The event was rounded off by various networking events.
The conference was attended by renowned representatives from education and business. Among the participants were governmental authorities, heads of educational institutions, leading international and national experts, developers of vocational training programs, scientific and pedagogical staff of educational institutions in Russia and abroad, representatives of technical and university libraries, information and educational platforms, companies and the heads of professional associations and communities.
