You can apply at any time, as it is possible to start your studies on every 1st and 15th of a month. Accordingly, our courses also start several times a year – regardless of the summer and winter semester, common at other universities.
Do as you like! If a position particularly appeals to you, then you are welcome to directly apply for it. If you are still undecided or find several positions exciting, then feel free to send an open application. This has no effects on the selection process.
No, please apply only once (for a specific position or initiative). All positions on our website https://www.steinbeis-sibe.de/en/school/vacancies/ are for master’s programs only.
The APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) is a cooperation between the German Embassy and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Their main task is to verify the authenticity of college or university certificates submitted from China, Vietnam and India. Applicants with documents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan do not need a certificate from the Academic Evaluation Center.
If the result is positive, a certificate is issued confirming that the documents submitted are genuine and that the academic achievements are sufficient for studying at a German university. It is only possible to apply for a study visa in Germany once you have this certificate. The application for such a certificate can take up to 60 days.
An APS certificate is not required if a university entrance qualification (school-leaving certificate) was obtained outside China, Vietnam or India. The certificate must be part of the application for the SIBE Master’s programs, otherwise our application and selection process cannot continue.
Detailed information on applying for the Academic Evaluation Center (APS) certificate can be found here: https://www.uni-assist.de/tools/glossar/erklaerung/begriff/akademische-pruefstelle-aps/

Once you have successfully passed our selection process, we will be happy to support you with the further process.

Study programs
No, because our study formats can guarantee a predictable seminar schedule regardless of further developments around Covid-19 over the two years of study.
We have several starts per year (usually every two to three months). So there will not just be summer and winter semesters! When you start your studies, depends on your start date at the partner company. Due to the numerous cohort starts, it is possible to join flexibly or make up for missed seminars in another cohort without having to wait for a new semester.
The focus of the study format is on your own project realization. By studying on real-world projects, practice and theory are directly intertwined: On the one hand, the study continuously accompanies the development of your real-world project(s). On the other hand, SIBE block seminars can be integrated into your work routine. As a rule, block seminars are usually scheduled at the end of a week and always include a Saturday in addition to weekdays. In exceptional cases, seminar dates may also take place during the week due to limited availability of lecturers and/or seminar rooms. Within the German-US-Dual-Degree you complete additionally 10 courses of each eight weeks on the learning platform of Post University. You can view an exemplary study plan in the download section of each master’s program: https://www.steinbeis-sibe.de/school/programme/
This depends on which study program you are taking and which seminar dates you book. Regularly, the seminar blocks at the SIBE always have a scope of 1 to 4 days. You can view an exemplary study plan in the download section of each master’s program: https://www.steinbeis-sibe.de/school/programme/
Of course, that is generally possible. The extent of the crediting needs to be determined in a case-by-case examination.
Since at work, skills and performance are more important than passing knowledge tests, we have designed the entire program to focus on your skills development. Since at work, skills and performance are more important than passing knowledge tests, we have designed the entire program to focus on your skills development. Therefore, during your studies, you will mainly work on problems and tasks of your projects in the form of presentations and project-related term papers (so-called transfer or project study papers up to the Master’s thesis).
Details can be found in the following overview.
Within our German-US-Dual-Degree (M.Sc./MBA) as well as SIBE-Management-Master – M.Sc. in International Management you choose one out of two electives and – in this way – decide whether you want to gain further insights into innovation or change management. In order to pre-structure the work-integrated M.Sc. programs (German-US-Dual-Degree (M.Sc./MBA), SIBE-Digitalization-Master – M.Sc. in Digital Leadership or SIBE-Management-Master – M.Sc. in International Management), you will receive information on certain fixed seminar dates (live online) and submission dates at the start of the studies. For all other relevant seminars of the respective curriculum, you have the possibility, in consultation with your partner company, to book alternative dates onsite or online live via the student portal “mySIBE” during the first semester. That means that you select suitable seminar dates as well as the corresponding format (live online or onsite) depending on availability.
Yes, the university hands out a confirmation of enrollment and a student ID card when you start to study. Amongst others they help you to obtain reduced rates.
Approximately six weeks before the opening, you will receive more detailed information about the first dates. Within the opening of all M.Sc. programs (German-US-Dual-Degree – M.Sc./MBA, SIBE-Digitalization-Master – M.Sc. in Digital Leadership or SIBE-Management-Master – M.Sc. in International Management), you will receive information on certain fixed seminar dates (live online) and submission dates about the two years of study. For all other relevant seminars of the respective curriculum, you have the possibility, in consultation with your partner company, to book alternative dates onsite or online live via the student portal “mySIBE” during the first semester. Seminars at SIBE usually take place live – in real time – either online via Microsoft Teams or onsite and enable direct exchange with the lecturer and fellow students. SIBE seminars are full-day and usually cover between 1 and up to 4 days. We usually schedule the block seminars at the end of a week and always include a Saturday in addition to weekdays. In exceptional cases, seminar dates may also take place during the week due to limited availability of lecturers and/or seminar rooms. The seminars are supplemented by learning units on the learning platform, our E-Campus. The American MBA is offered exclusively via the learning platform of Post University.
In principle, every student has the opportunity to benefit from an optional study trip abroad. Since trips are currently still subject to certain restrictions (e.g. full vaccination protection is required in some countries) and may have to be postponed or cancelled due to a change in the Corona situation, it was important to us to safely enable all curricular and/or degree-relevant aspects separate from optional studies abroad. As before, the study abroad trip is not included in the study and program fees and must be paid separately.
