The Springer Journal “Leadership, Education, Personality: An Interdisciplinary Journal (2020)” published the article “A new model for a state-of-the-art leadership education with performance as driving factor for future viability”.
In the article, the SIBE authors looked at the issue of leadership development in the context of current challenges. It is clear that on the one hand there is a great need for training and development programmes. These, on the other hand, do not meet the requirements of the present and also those of the future. To this end, current executive education programs were analyzed and related to current, relevant literature. In this way, the authors discussed the current situation and the framework conditions and formulated a new set of objectives for development programmes. Among the main findings is that the development of competences should be the focus. Finally, an evidence-based approach to an innovative course of study is described.
