The Springer Journal “Leadership, Education, Personality: An Interdisciplinary Journal (2020)” has published the article “A new model for a state-of-the-art leadership education with performance as driving factor for future viability”.

In the article, the SIBE authors dealt with the topic of leadership development in the context of current challenges. It becomes clear that on the one hand there is a great need for training and development programs. On the other hand, however, these do not meet the requirements of the present, nor those of the future. For this purpose, current training programs for leaders were analyzed and related to the current, relevant literature. In this way, the authors discussed the current situation and the framework conditions and formulated a new objective for development programs. One of the main findings was that the development of competencies should be the focus of attention. Finally, an evidence-based approach for an innovative study program is described.
